OverEasyMovers Service Policy

At OverEasyMovers, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of service. This policy outlines the terms and conditions that govern our moving services to ensure a smooth and stress-free moving experience.

Service Hours and Billing

  • Minimum Service Duration: All moves are subject to a minimum duration of three hours. Billing is prorated in 15-minute increments after the initial three-hour minimum.
  • Double Drive Time (DDT): For distances over 15 miles, double drive time fees will apply to compensate for the time spent traveling between locations.

Payment Terms

  • Payment Methods: We accept Debit or Credit Cards (subject to a 4% fee), VENMO, ZELLE (no fee), and Cash (no fee).
  • Payment Timing: Full payment is required upon completion of the move. For credit card payments, a 4% processing fee applies.
  • Deposits: A deposit is required to secure your moving date. The deposit amount will be applied to your final bill.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Notice Period: A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for rescheduling or canceling your move to avoid forfeiting your deposit.
  • Rescheduling Fees: Changes made within 48 hours of the scheduled move may incur additional fees.

Included Services

  • Free Use of Equipment: Our service includes the free use of wardrobe boxes, moving blankets, plastic wrap, tools for disassembly and reassembly of furniture, dollies, fuel, taxes, and the moving truck.
  • Packing Supplies: Packing supplies are not included but are available upon request.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Parking Arrangements: Customers are responsible for arranging parking at both the origin and destination locations. Any fines incurred due to inadequate parking arrangements will be the responsibility of the customer.
  • Appliance and Electronic Connections: OverEasyMovers is not responsible for connecting or disconnecting appliances or electronics. Customers should ensure these are ready for transport.
  • Freezer and Drawer Contents: Freezers should be defrosted and emptied before moving. Contents of drawers should be removed and packed separately to avoid damage.

Insurance and Liability

  • Limited Liability Coverage: Our service includes limited liability coverage by default. Customers may opt for full coverage insurance at an additional cost.
  • Insurance Documentation: For moves requiring additional insurance, documentation must be submitted at least three business days before the move date.

Special Item Handling

  • Valuables and Fragile Items: Customers are advised to transport valuable and fragile items personally. OverEasyMovers provides special handling for such items but accepts no liability for items not disclosed prior to the move.
  • Heavy or Oversized Items: Please inform us in advance about any heavy or oversized items to ensure proper equipment and staffing.

Discounts and Savings

  • Available Discounts: We offer a 5% discount for seniors, military personnel, nurses, and other eligible groups. Please see our Discounts and Savings page for more details.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Feedback: We value your feedback. Please share your experience with us to help us continually improve our services.
  • Complaints and Claims: Any complaints or claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of the move completion.
